Assessment Policy

ASSESMENT POLICY FOR SESSION: 2023 – 2024

This assessment policy has been prepared keeping in mind the transformation of curriculum as per NEP – 2020. Every transformation comes with challenges to adapt with better perspective for future. The changes are inevitable and will be implemented as per guidelines of government.

The mission of the school “To equip learners with life skills and assist them to develop the attributes of a good and contented human being” & Vision Making Education holistic and learning experience joyful to attain the status of ‘A Happy School’ are kept in mind while designing this policy.

Learners will be assessed in Scholastic and Co – Scholastic domains at each level.

 

FOR FOUNDATION CLASSES (NURSERY - I)

  • Promotion to the next class will be on the basis of the cumulative performance which will be assessed throughout the session as per NEP – 2020.
  • Performance will be marked in the form of GRADES. No Ranks will be given.
  • Assessment report will be given twice in a year – once in each term.

FOR CLASSES: II - XIIThe session comprises of TWO TERMS as per the following: 
Term – 1: April 2023 – September, 2023
Term – 2: October 2023 – March, 2024

  • Scholastic domain will cover all the Unit-Tests and Term-end examinations.
  • Each Term comprises of ONE UNIT TEST and ONE TERM END EXAMINATION.
  • Unit tests are selective in nature as they are remedial and diagnostic. They allow the student to assess the areas of improvement.
  • Half Yearly and Final Examination are Term End Examinations of Term 1 and Term 2 respectively.
  • Syllabus for each assessment will be uploaded on School Website: www.spsairport.com.
  • Assessment of Co – scholastic domain is multi dimensional and is based on various school activities and based on participation and involvement of students in house and club activities.

EXAMINATION RULES

  • There is no provision for Re – Test for the students who remain absent during Unit Tests, Half Yearly, Final or Pre - Board Examinations. The absentees will be awarded ‘ZERO’ marks.
  • Detailed Syllabus for all assessments will be made available ONLINE on school website (www.spsairport.com).
  • The Report and Answer Scripts for all assessments will be handed over to parents. 
  • Any change in the scheme of assessment by CBSE shall be strictly followed. For updates can logon: www.cbseacademic.in
  • Minimum pass percentage will be 33% (Separate in Theory & Practical Examination) in individual subjects as well as in aggregate. Promotion to the next class will be on the basis of Cumulative Result. 
  • 75% ATTENDANCE IS COMPULSORY FOR ALL CLASSES TO APPEAR IN Each Term.  
  • Taking Pre – Board Examination is Mandatory.
  • Class X & XII students are required to score minimum 50% marks in Pre - Board Examination-I, failing which attending remedial classes upto Board Examinations will be compulsory. 
  • Project, Project Files, Practical Records must be completed, evaluated by the concerned subject teacher before the start of Examination. In case if the scheduled dates are not followed, student will not be awarded any marks.
  • The dates of assessments mentioned above are tentative and subject to change as per circumstances.
  • Students have to clear the ‘School Dues’, if any, before appearing in Final Examination.
  • Student found using unfair means like use of scraps of paper, any writing on hand, pencil box, table etc. or bringing the text book with the intention of cheating, tearing of any page of the answer book, supplementary answer sheet etc or giving or taking help from the students will be penalized with the cancellation of the paper and no marks will be given in the paper thus cancelled. However, before taking any drastic step, the Principal, along with EMIS will give enough chance to such a student to clarify his / her position for such an act.
  • Graph Papers, Outline Maps, Log Tables etc. wherever required during Examination will be provided by the Examination Department. 
  • Application for any discrepancy in result must be reported within three working days of declaration of Result.
  • However, it is expected to keep the ORIGINAL REPORT CARDS Safe but in case, if required, DUPLICATE REPORT CARD can be issued within THREE YEARS of declaration of RESULT on chargeable basis.

 

GUIDELINES FOR BOARD REGISTRATION (CLASSES IX - XII)
Students studying in Classes IX and XI are to be enrolled in CBSE for their respective Board Examination to be held in March 2025. Parents to note the following in this regard: - 

  • The Name of Student, Mother’s Name, Father’s Name and Date of Birth shall be registered exactly as per the Transfer Certificate of Previous School and First Admission Form filled in by the parent at the time of Admission in this school. For any change in the particulars, must report and submit in written along with copy of valid document in School Office at the earliest possible. Request for change in any particulars after Board Registration shall not be entertained and not be the responsibility of school.
  • Mobile Number and E – mail Id are compulsory. Parents must intimate any change in the same immediately by sending an Application to Class Teacher.
  • No change in Student’s Name, Mother’s Name, Father’s Name, Date of Birth shall be entertained in Class XI. 
  • For those students who took Class X Examination from other boards, Migration Certificate must be submitted.
  • Registration Fee/ Board Fee, as per CBSE rules, is to be submitted separately.
  • All details and Subject Combination must be thoroughly checked while checking Registration Form. Any discrepancy must be reported immediately. The school will not be held responsible for any corrections at any later stage.
  • Caste Certificate/ Minority Certificate must be necessarily submitted with Registration Form failing which it will not be possible for School to enroll student in particular category. All such students shall be enrolled in GENERAL Category.
  • All students must keep safe Registration Card, Admit Card, Report Card and other documents issued by school/ C.B.S.E.
