Selection Criteria

There are FIVE Categories for Award:

  • Discipline would be a criterion of utmost importance for the final selections in all the categories. Discipline including compliance of duties assigned, timely reporting, punctuality, general disposition etc.
  • Students of a particular category can apply for any award of that category.
  • The awardees are to be from the TOP MOST class of each Category, for which PORTFOLIO must be MAINTAINED for EACH CLASS of that CATEGORY and must be SUMITTED to DSA on ANNUAL BASIS for

VERIFICATION

  • Application forms are available online only.
  • Decision of the Annual Awards Committee shall be final and binding for all.

•    Participation/winning in competitions/ events at personal level will be considered only if it is in the notice of the annual award committee.
•    In case of any course / training / exam having completion certificates for different terms, only the FINAL ONE certificate will be taken into account.
•    The judgements for final awardees will be on the basis of marks obtained according to marks tally followed by interview.
•    Achievements (certification must for consideration) only pertaining to respective category will be taken into account.

JUDGEMENT / MARKING CRITERIA 

FOR SCHOLARS / FLYERS / MOVERS


FOR CULTURAL – 

  • Any participation or winning in dance / music and singing / photography / theatre /club activities / compering.
  • Any post in Prefectorial Council viz Club Captains / House Captains / Discipline Prefects / Cleanliness rating team / Virtue Monitors / sports Co-ordinators / Creative Team.


FOR SPORTS –

  • Participation / winning in all (including open tournaments) will be considered.
  • Certification towards participation or winning in any game / sport (viz Athletics / Basketball/ badminton / Cricket / Football / Swimming/ Table Tennis  / Chess /Karate / Boxing / NCC/Yoga / Archery/ Kho Kho / Kabaddi / Skating  etc ) played inside or outside school will be considered.
  • Deserving candidates MUST fill up the online application form timely  for consideration.


FOR ACADEMICS – 

  • For Scholars 2 average of percentage of Term End Exams of Scholars 1 and First Term Exam of Scholars 2 is to be filled. (For Eg: (70% + 80%)/2 = 75 % is the required average percentage)
  • For Flyers 2 average of percentage of Term End Exams of Flyers 1 and First Term Exam of Flyers 2 is to be filled. (For Eg: (70% + 80%)/2 = 75 % is the required average percentage)
  • For Movers 3 average of percentage of Term End Exams of Movers 1 & Movers 2 and First Term Exam of Movers 3 to be filled. (For Eg. : (70% + 80% + 90%) / 3 = 80% is the required average percentage)


FOR ALL ROUNDER – 

  • Minimum 70 % in Academics 
  • Participation in co-curricular activities at Intra School level.
  • Participation  & Winning at Inter School level
  • General Disposition

 

FOR LEARNERS
FOR CULTURAL – 

  • Max. Participation at Inter School in Dance /Music/ Theatre/ Art & Craft others.
  • Inter School / Winning/ Participation in the above.
  • Mandatory to have 45-50 % in academics


FOR SPORTS –

  • Max. Winning/ Participation in sports
  • Mandatory to have 45-50 % in Academics also


FOR ACADEMICS – 

  • Range 95 -100 % average marks in Learners 3, 4, 5.
    For Eg. : (70% + 80% + 90%) / 3 = 80% is the required average percentage
  • For new students joining in Learners 4 it will be of Learners 4 & 5 only.
    Science Exhibition:  Participation / Winner

Green Olympiad:  Participation / Winner

  • Attendance


FOR ALL ROUNDER –

o    Total marks tally will be segregated into 3 categories-cultural/academics/sports to decide the eligibility of the candidate for the different categories of awards, which would finally be decided by the annual award committee.
o    For competing for any award a qualifying percentile will be fixed by the annual award committee as per the applications received. 
o    Certification produced or achievements duly endorsed by concerned authorities will be taken into consideration only till the last date announced for submission of documents.
o    Certificates without mention of date/year/class will be considered invalid.
o    In case of any anomaly, the annual award committee will make the decision, which would be binding on all those concerned.

APPLYING FOR AWARDS SHOULD NOT BE ASSUMED FOR ITS ENTITLEMENT AS IT WILL BE SCRUTINIZED THROUGH COMPETENT COMMITTEE FOR FINAL RECOMMENDATION.
